Giuseppe Spatola (Pino), owner and chef of Paesano Restaurant was born and raised in Palermo.
In the 80s he moved to the USA to join one of his brothers who was living in New York.
After experiencing the new country for one year and eager to follow the Californian dream, Pino relocated to San Jose, where his second brother was running a restaurant.
Ambitious and determined to succeed, Pino spent a few years working hard and learning all about cooking and management until he opened his own restaurant in Redwood City called Siciliano.
The experience with the restaurant was successful and lasted for 11 years.
In 2010 Pino learned about the new development of the Little Italy neighborhood in San Jose and decided to embrace the project opening his new restaurant there.
